Adobo, What is Adobo? Adobo is a dish which originated from the spaniards when they happened to drop by our place some 3 or 400 years ago. Adobo actually means a marinade, like a sauce we use when we make beef steak or anything similar. We usually use soy sauce and lemon juice plus some other spice of preference. I also discovered that in the Americas, Adobo is a spice that you can get in any grocery store. They use it as a seasoning in all their cookings.
Regardless of where adobo came from or what does it mean to any other culture, it remains to be the most popular dish that we filipinos love. It is a perfect marriage of salty and sugary taste plus the fiery flavor of pepper and succulent morsels of pork or chicken. The aroma that tickles your nostrils and stimulate your taste buds makes you drool and look for the nearest pot of rice. Adobo through the years earned its reputation as our national dish and the word itself is almost synonymous to Filipinos. Adobo=Filipino, Cool! I like adobo, In fact, I just ate it this morning.
In Adobo Talk, we will be talking about everything that we, Filipinos love to talk about. Gossip, Food, Artistas, Pulitika, Musika, Haytek na gadget and many more. Anything under the sun. I will also teach you some skills, tips or tricks about anything that I know. Cool!
